The driving point of view is the hardships she had to overcome on her journey to help herself and her family. Ma Mary’s central driver in the story was her will to survive.

What dramatic? Is organizing narrative?
The dramatic part driving her story is her self reliance and resilience without any support. She did not receive any support on her journey to safety because she never was claimed as a refugee. She not only had to provide for herself but also for her children while they were trying to find refuge. She had to work even harder to provide for her family since she did not receive any life necessities since she was not accepted into a refugee program
